Hotel Korona is located in the beautiful downtown of Szeged. Honoured with the Europe Nostra Award, our city is the home to many quality programmes and events. Its sights, public baths, great restaurants, cafés and widely famous confectionaries with a breath of Mediterranean atmosphere can be approached in no time due to the central location of our hotel.

It was in February 2002 that we could welcome the first guest in our hotel, which harmonically fits into the surroundings, and which had been renovated by retaining the original foundation of a bourgeois house, constructed 4 years after the Great Flood of 1879 in Szeged.

Our guests can enjoy the comfort of home in the well-furnished, bright and spacious rooms (the floor space even of the smallest double room is 17 m2), fitted with all modern conveniences. We are more than happy to help our guests arrange sightseeing, leisure time and cultural programmes, or discover nature in the countryside not far from the city.

Small Conference Room

We have an air-conditioned conference room for up to 12 persons. Equipment provided:

- screen;

- flip chart board;

- television;

- DVD player;

- CD player;

- on request, an overhead projector, beamer and laptop are provided for an additional charge.

Restaurant

In the basement of the building, a vaulted, cosy restaurant for up to 50 persons awaits our Guests. This is the place for abundant buffet breakfasts, being also suitable for meetings and social events. We can also provide tasty cooked lunch and dinner for groups, if previously requested. Should you wish to eat out, there are several great restaurants close to the hotel.

Reception Open for 24 Hours a Day

Please feel free to approach the receptionist on duty with your queries. Whether on a several weeks’ holiday, a business trip for a few days, a family vacation, a honeymoon or simply a transit trip, you we welcome you any time.

Free Parking

For our Guests, a closed parking space is available free of charge in the yard of the hotel, however, for 11 cars only. In case of a full house, parking is on a ‘first- come, first-served’ basis.

Wireless Internet Access

Wireless internet access is available at any point in the hotel, and can be used with a card and the access code, provided to you at the reception desk for free charge.

A Room for Your Well-being: A ‘Corner’ for Relaxing in Body and Mind

(Our guests can take advantage of the wellness services listed below, from 00:00 to 24:00 hours daily, for a surcharge. Please, indicate at the reception beforehand when you wish to use any of them. Sauna towels and sheets are provided.)

We have an infra cabin for 1 person at a time. Amongst its major beneficial effects, just some words about its advantages: - the most effective way of detoxification and rejuvenation; - gives stimuli for metabolism and circulation; - helps successful weight loss, body shaping and fat burning; - reinforces self-healing processes, excellent against colds and flu; - improves general health, helps reduce stress and accumulated tension

Finnish Sauna

Up to 4 persons at the maximum. „Sauna is a well heated-up space or a separate wooden house where people can sweat for relaxation purposes. Livelong Jade Massage Bed

Livelong DBM-4500 is an excellent, state-of-the-art massage bed. Heater panels provide warmth (40-70 degrees) in the areas for the legs and the back of the body. The rollers are heated with helium lights. The filaments emitting infrared radiation inside the mattress afford thermotherapeutic treatment by germanium panels.

Massage performed by a professional masseur is available by appointment to be made at the reception.
