Our house is situated in the most cosiest place of the downtown, in the Déryné street, where was built the first stone theatre of the country (1823) with the beautiful open-air theatre and with the studio theatre. Here was opened also the Museum of History of Theatre- and of Performer ( in the years of 1960). From this street issues the synagogue which was built in the 19. century and has a spaciel portection. The end of the street issues to the Heroes Square, where the 18th century Minorita Monastic quarters and a baroque church stands. Next to the church stands the Földes Ferenc secondary school. The other side of the square is the home of the Posta Palace. Déryné street and Hősök square are the most frequented places during the summertime festivals.
The historical environment, the theater life and the highly popular Opera Festival gave us the idea to rejuvenate this beautiful building for the pleasure of our dear guests.
